Years later, I return to Kentmere for the fabulous Horseshoe walk, with scudding clouds making the fells (here Kentmere Pike) look particularly spectacular. The lakes were the stomping grounds of my youth and the Kentmere Round was a training run for when I was fit and into all that fell-running malarky.

Much more agreeable to be keeping at least one foot on the ground all the time.
