I've been following the trials of these Saiga antelopes for a number of years now and here's an explanation of their mysterious 2015 Mass Mortality Event. Warm and humid conditions triggering the bacteria Pasteurella multocida, normally harmlessly found in the saiga's tonsils, to invade the bllodstream causing blood poisoning.
Ever get that feeling you're neing watched?
All the best for this New Year!
